Over the next week or so most libraries throughout Newfoundland and Labrador will be registering 3-5 year olds for their free storytime programs. Storytime at the public library not only offers a free educational program and activities for your preschooler, you’ll also have a reason to visit the library and their collections of free to borrow books, dvds, and music.
And with a planned return for storytime each week, you’re much less likely to forget to return those books and dvds, thus avoiding late charges 🙂
To register for storytime at your local library, check out the NLPL Events Calendar or drop-in or call your area library. Don’t forget to look into what other programs are on offer for your family such as book clubs for older kids, mother goose programs for toddlers, special interest classes for adults, and special events and celebrations.
